As the Vice President of Global Marketing, you will be working within a successful $10B company that has experienced impressive growth in the last 2 years. Through a re-focus and reorganization, this business is now poised for future success like never before. Evidence of this success occurred in 2009, when this product franchise grew over 20% globally, the largest growth in the franchises history. With 40 products in various stages of R&D pipeline development, this will be an exciting, challenging role to gain new global market share.

As the Vice President of Global Marketing for Vascular products, you will:

Ensure business goals are translated into strategic franchise plans that will meet or exceed financial projections in all targeted regions worldwide.
Hire and Lead four Directors of Marketing, including succession planning and strategy implementation
Establish a worldwide, systematic insight-driven process that gives the Vascular Global Business Unit the ability to learn faster than competition and to capture and share knowledge of:
Underlying trends impacting customer preferences
Traditional and non-traditional competitive market dynamics
Adjacencies for growth and expansion
Ensure that insights are translated into strategic franchise product portfolios that:
Reflect what the customer values
Lead to product breakthroughs
Deliver a competitive sustainable advantage
Balance both short- and longer-term growth and profitability
Increase shareholder value
Ensure that appropriate assessments of M&A opportunities are conducted and processes are in place to drive robust evaluations of internal development vis--vis external choices.
Establish best-in-class practices in franchise teams to ensure timely and decisive decision making reflective of worldwide needs.
Establish process to speed transition from insight to ideas to new product concepts.
Establish and drive a best-in-class process for evaluating and segmenting worldwide target markets to deliver new product categories and/or growth platforms as well as continuums of care in a specific disease area
Lead the development of business cases upon which important product portfolio management decisions are made.
Establish and drive a process to ensure accurate forecasting of demand and market acceptance on new product concepts that are both familiar and unlike anything the company has provided in the past
Ensure all business cases incorporate comprehensive assessment and strategy for scientific and health economic evidence.
Ensure pricing strategies reflect worldwide markets and optimize revenues as well as adoption
Establish process to engage KOLs worldwide to gain customer insight on key unmet needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Education required: BA/BS degree, MBA strongly preferred
Experience:
Minimum 15+ years experience including leading strategic marketing function in a multinational organization, leadership of global marketing initiatives at the Sr. Manager or Director level as a minimum within a medical device or biotechnology/ life science company over vascular or similar product categories.

Travel: Up to 30% travel is required including some weekends.
