This position has two key roles. First, manage all PR activities including direct management of trade PR and oversight of external agency on consumer PR. This person will work with market and brand management to determine and then implement PR initiatives for the year. The second component is to project manage companys website initiatives (this would include working with the market and brand managers to specify objectives and work with web team to manage and implement the project). Also responsible for writing copy for both PR and web projects.
Essential Functions:
* Work with internal clients to determine PR needs and opportunities. Develop PR strategies for consumer, grower and retailer targets.
* Develop PR strategy for maximizing exposure within key trade touchpoints. Establish effective working relationships with media to ensure quick and prominent placement of new events.
* Work with outside agency to maximize exposure to key consumer targets.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or Business
* Minimum three years experience in copy, internet content and/or agency client management.
