A rapidly growing Southern California cannabis distribution company is looking for well qualified Account Managers for Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. You will be will be actively calling on the recreational cannabis dispensaries/retailers in this two county territory to introduce them to company products and services. The company offers tremendous income potential, career advancement plus a casual and flexible work environment. The Company was founded in 2016 and has been be serving California’s legal cannabis industry since it was launched in January 2018.
The Account Managers will have a $50,000 base salary and are expected to earn over $75k in their first year. This is a new industry and they will provide the ongoing training necessary to help you be successful. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of customer service/sales experience and have a passion for the marijuana industry. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.
Visit retailers weekly to introduce/maintain product supply
Develop and implement strategies for achieving established sales targets
Answer product, inventory management & merchandising questions
Plan and execute “vendor days” promotional events at retail locations
Provide training to onsite salespeople/team in retail locations.
Maintain company’s ERP system; submit sales and territory analysis.
Forecast quarterly sales by brand and track results.
Understand and embrace the Company customer service culture
Maintain a strong knowledge of each product & the industry marketplace.
Min of 2 years of proven B2B outside sales experience to retail customers
Beauty, sports, grocery route sales/distribution experience is a plus
Must have a clear DMV history and reliable transportation
Able to work occasional evenings or weekends
Experienced working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems
Highly motivated, entrepreneurial spirit; able to work independently
Previous sales experience with a restaurant, tobacco or liquor distributor highly desirable
Excellent communication, negotiation, time management and people skills
Ability to build strong customer relationships
Salary and Benefits
Base Salary - $50,000
Bonus/Commission can add $25k or more
(depending on your performance)
