Outstanding Product Manager opportunity with a global manufacturer known for growth, innovation, and market leadership. The Product Manager leads a staff of two and owns global product marketing for assigned product families, directly impacting the business by maximizing growth and returns through:
Providing communications leadership, conducting market research and managing the product portfolio.
Developing and leading marketing and promotions strategies, including leading internal processes and related teams.
Driving commercial negotiations including contracts, project management, and identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Own and continuously improve the product road map
Drive product portfolio initiatives ranging from new product development to end-of-life initiatives.
Execute business cases for growth initiatives including new product development and product line expansion in various channels and vertical markets.
Partner with cross-functional areas to maximize active opportunity funnel, including supporting lead generation and qualification activities.
Support sales in customer negotiations. Train and motivate sellers to effectively sell products and value and increase market share.
Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and key product metrics/indicators to provide actionable analyses that measure product line health and initiative efficacy.
Implement market-based, profitable pricing strategies, influence cost reduction activities, and work with operations on key supplier negotiations.
Continuously analyze and disseminate pertinent information on market trends, voice of customer (VOC), and market research activities to discover new insights. Use market insights to create growth strategies.
Articulate and accurately communicate technical product and customer requirements.
Develop and manager comprehensive collateral and sales tools to commercialize products and support customer-facing associates.
Work cross-functionally to develop launch product promotion programs and creative campaigns.
4-year degree in Engineering or Business degree required. MBA preferred.
5+ years’ experience in marketing and/or sales for a B2B engineered products manufacturer
Consistent record of delivering market share, sales, and profitability growth
Strong technical aptitude or existing expertise in engineered motion products
Proven internal selling and negotiation skills
Demonstrated analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, writing, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and travel overnight and internationally up to 40% of the time
