My client seeks a Demand Planner to work in the Supply Chain Department. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with assigned Project(s), Purchasing, Inventory and Production Departments to ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials in support of the entire manufacturing process. The candidate will be responsible for the timely release Project purchase requisitions for Government property that has not been previously ordered and track it through the entire supply chain. This position will also be responsible for creating and validating the availability of components required in support of the manufacturing work orders (MWO) process and manage inventory transfers between projects when required, to avoid an manufacturing shortages.
5-10 years of related experience in Planning or Supply Chain;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and general knowledge of MS Access is required;
Data disciplined and self-starter;
Through knowledge of Bills of Material and experience with reading drawings;
Microsoft Dynamics and/or MRP experience a plus.
