Process Development Engineer - Additives

Description

Conceptualize, plan and implement process development projects relevant to architectural, industrial, automotive, and printing & packaging coatings markets.
Provide technical expertise in rheology modifiers, flow & leveling agents, defoamers, and dispersants
Direct scale-up projects and plan pilot plant work to support new product introductions.Interpret chemical analytical data and applications data.
Analyze interaction between formulation variables, process conditions, and final product properties.
Work with Production to identify the cause of and solutions for quality, yield, throughput, and any other processing problems in the plant.

Requirements-

Requres a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
5+ years experience in process engineering, polymerization operations, or polymer research.
Experience in process safety management.
Ability to manage technical projects consistent with business strategy.
Understanding of process equipment design including pumps, polymerization reactors, pressure relief valve sizing, material balances, instrument specifications, and heat exchangers.
PLC or DCS programming experience a plus.
Additives development and colloidal physics experience a plus.
