Large Energy company needs an individual who will be responsible for managing and coordinating all of the agricultural development activities for a Southern Biofuel production facility.
The Manager will coordinate the Business/Agriculture related activities associated with farm development:
Ø Land acquisition
Ø Farm design
Ø Feedstock bulk-up
Ø Farm establishment
Ø Contracting and working with growers
Ø Contracting and working with harvest and haul operators
.(note: Technical Management will be conducted by the functional areas)
The Ethynol Crop Manager will manage the overall project for the agriculture group. As such they will be the main point of contact and responsible for the Project Plan.
They will be accountable for the managing all necessary milestones, timeliness of deliverables and success of the overall plan. Depending on the project these might include but not limited to; Land access, Farm design and construction, Crop development, Equipment purchase, Establishing an accounting processes, Harvest scheduling, and Development of best practices in crop/feedstock development.
Being responsible for the Project Plan they will be expect to track, coordinate and communicate progress in a regular/timely manner to their management team.
EXPERIENCE
10 to 15 years of large scale agriculture operations/project management
Involved with agriculture projects that were as large as a few thousand acres
Managed complex projects
Been responsible for multi-million dollar budgets
Experience working with State and Local agencies is a plus
Experience with Quality efforts such as six sigma is a plus
REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. in Agriculture (preferably with a Business emphasis)
- M.B.A. desirable
- Certification as an Agronomist or related desirable
- English required. Spanish is a plus
