Seeking two degreed design engineer professionals with a passion and enthusiasm for innovation who has been directly involved in the design and building of machines/machine tools/capital equipment for a high force/heavy equipment industry! In this exciting role, you will apply knowledge of design engineering as a part of a team who is responsible for concept development, engineering analysis, design, component specification, detailing, and checking for machinery products and special tooling and ancillary equipment. You will prepare concept, design, and detail drawings using 3D CAD and other engineering tools, laboratory equipment and engineering analysis software; prepares detailed lists of parts, detail drawings, and materials (bills of materials) required to complete the project; reviews and closely follow customer specifications and requirements for machines, tooling and automation during manufacture of machines, tooling and automation; continuously improve engineering processes; help develop strategies and processes to ensure on-time delivery of equipment, cost reduction opportunities and performance improvements.
Requirements - Bachelors degree (prefer BSME) with 3+ years of experience designing and specifying components for high-force machines/machine tools and handling systems/capital equipment with an understanding of manufacturing environment, including machining processes, workflow, assembly processes, cycle time and quality and delivery expectations. Must have excellent communication & leadership skills, computer skills, extensive background with CAD, preferably Solid Works or similar 3D software and ability to read mechanical drawings and understand dimensional tolerances. Should have direct engineering design and analysis experience with manufacturing machinery.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Foreign Language experience helpful (German, Chinese or French), Solidworks, Autocad, excellent written and verbal skills, computer/Microsoft Office proficiency, ability to incorporate manufacturing and cost effectiveness into new designs.
